Massage

Deep-tissue massage brings profound and lasting solutions to a wide variety of aches and pains. Because the technique reaches the deeper layers of muscle and tissue, it can repair damaged areas as well as release a variety of tensions brought on by work or daily life.

So whether you’re looking to treat injuries, revive or restore function to overstressed muscles, prevent common injuries or relax a tired mind and body, deep-tissue massage can bring rapid and lasting relief.

My Approach to Deep-Tissue Massage

Since we all respond differently to treatments, I focus on an individualised approach for your particular treatment needs, goals, body and condition.

Many muscle injuries can be treated with one session. But the best benefits come with regular self-management. My goal is to bring you immediate relief from pain, and give you expert advice on practical and achievable everyday exercises to strengthen, stretch and correct long-term body imbalance. This gives you the tools you need to continue the benefits from massage and prevent future injury.

Deep-Tissue Massage for Injury

Muscle injuries are either chronic (from repetitive muscle overuse) or acute (caused by trauma). My initial consultation includes a brief general postural assessment, followed by a specific joint assessment and therapy focussing on the areas of concern.

Massage for Maintenance

Prevention is better than cure. Whatever your work or fitness level, regular massage can help revive and restore function to overstressed muscles, and prevent many common injuries from occurring.

Massage for Relaxation

We usually experience stress either as specific or general tension in the body. A regular massage can help relax tired and overused muscles, calm the mind and restore balance and equanimity.
